SSP Networking Series 2022
The Singapore Stewardship Principles for Responsible Investors (SSP) Networking Series gathers signatories and industry members to discuss key issues in the investment landscape.
Following the launch of the revised SSP, we hosted our first in-person session since the pandemic, in partnership with the Singapore Exchange Regulation. The session held on 17 October 2022 saw active discussion on how capital markets can rebuild trust in the wake of ESG scepticism.

Ms June Sim
Managing Director, Head of Listing Compliance, Singapore Exchange Regulation
Ms June Sim is the Managing Director and Head of Listing Compliance in SGX RegCo. She oversees the compliance of all SGX-listed companies with the Listing Manual. She leads the function that monitors listed issuers’ compliance with continuing listing obligations, including regulatory oversight of Catalist sponsors. As a senior management member of SGX RegCo, her views are valued in discharging SGX’s responsibilities as the frontline regulator in the review of submissions to SGX RegCo for corporate action. She is a frequent speaker on various corporate governance seminars, and contributes to raising standards of the professionals in our capital market.
Mr Rajeev Peshawaria
CEO, Stewardship Asia Centre

Rajeev is a high-energy, inspirational speaker who provides coaching, consulting and advisory services to corporate and public sector clients globally. Before joining SAC and starting LEC, he was the CEO of the Iclif Leadership & Governance Centre. He was formerly the Chief Learning Officer of Coca-Cola and Morgan Stanley and has also held senior positions at American Express, HSBC, and Goldman Sachs. At Goldman, Rajeev helped found Pine Street − the firm’s acclaimed leadership academy − and headed Pine Street for Europe and Asia. In his early career, he was a banker and currency trader.
In 2014 and 2017, he was named one of the Top 100 Global Thought Leaders for Trustworthy Business by ‘Trust Across America.’

Ms Abigail Ng
Executive Director and Head of Department, Markets Policy & Infrastructure Department, Monetary Authority of Singapore
Ms Abigail Ng is Executive Director and Head of the Markets Policy & Infrastructure Department, with supervisory responsibility for market infrastructure including exchanges, central counterparties and the central depository. She also oversees the formulation of policies on the capital markets to promote fair, orderly and transparent markets, and safe and efficient financial market infrastructures, as well as policies on market conduct to achieve fair outcomes for investors and shape corporate governance standards. Prior to this role, Ms Ng was Head of the Corporate Finance & Consumer Department, with supervisory responsibility for capital markets, including regulation of offers of securities, the conduct of takeover and merger transactions, and the Singapore Exchange as a frontline regulator for listed entities. Ms Ng also represents MAS at various international committees, such as the International Organisation of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) Sustainable Finance Taskforce, where she is actively involved in work dedicated to improving securities issuers’ sustainability-related disclosures.
Mr Chiew Chun Wee
Head of Policy, Asia Pacific, Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
Mr Chiew Chun Wee is the Policy and Insights lead for the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in Asia Pacific. He works with ACCA members and key stakeholders to identify and drive research initiatives that provide evidence-based policy and thinking impacting the business community and profession, supporting ACCA’s delivery of public value. Mr Chiew is a board member on the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) and serves as a taskforce member on a variety of key IAASB projects including the quality management standard (firm level) and audits of less complex entities. Additionally, he is a regular speaker and panel chair on various topics including integrated reporting, the evolving role of finance leaders, and talent issues.
Prior to joining ACCA, Mr Chiew was a key member of the Professional Practice Department of a Big Four accounting practice, where he focused on audit methodology and regularly delivered internal and external trainings on auditing and quality assurance matters. He has more than a decade of experience in public accounting and has worked in audits of and special assignments for multinationals and local listed companies.
Mr Hardik Shah
ESG Practice Lead, GMO Singapore Pte Ltd
Mr Hardik Shah has built GMO’s ESG capability across investment product areas and asset classes. His contributions include creation of proprietary country as well as company ESG scores, supporting ESG integration and engagement. He participated in CFA Institute’s ESG working group which developed Global ESG Disclosure Standards for Investment Products and subsequently has been a member of its ESG examination subcommittee. Previously, he conducted ESG research at Sustainalytics and MSCI, and was also a senior climate change consultant with EY. Mr Shah holds FSA credential issued by SASB, Sustainability & Climate Risk (SCR) credential by GARP, and the CFA charter.
Mr En Lee
Managing Director, Head of Sustainable & Impact Investments, Asia, LGT
Mr En Lee is Managing Director, Head of Sustainable and Impact Investments in Asia at LGT, the world’s largest family-owned private banking and asset management group with over US$300 billion in assets under management. He leads and manages the regional impact investment portfolio in Southeast Asia and China. Mr En was a Partner and is currently a Senior Advisor of Lightrock, LGT's global impact investing platform, and serves on the Board of LGT Bank (Singapore). Prior to LGT, he was an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong advising investment funds and previously a Corporate Solicitor at Freshfields in London specialising in private equity, M&A, and capital market transactions. A recognised industry leader, Mr En has served on the World Economic Forum ESG Advisory Group, Asia Investor Group on Climate Change, and the Monetary Authority of Singapore Sustainable Finance Working Group. He is a member of the Advisory Committee of Triple P Financial Inclusion Fund and the Boards of UN Global Compact Singapore, Asian Venture Philanthropy Network, and the Singapore Venture & Private Capital Association where he co-chairs the ESG Committee. Mr En graduated from the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School and is a CAIA charterholder. He was selected as an Aspen Institute Finance Leaders Fellow and is a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network and the Young Presidents' Organization.
Ms Susan Soh
Head of Asia Pacific, Schroders, Chair of Investment Management Association of Singapore (IMAS)
Ms Susan Soh is Head of Asia Pacific for Schroders. She is also a member of Schroders’ Group Management Committee (GMC).
Ms Soh is responsible for the strategy, management and oversight of Schroders businesses across the Asia-Pacific. She holds over 30 years of financial industry experience, spanning across different areas of investment banking before specialising in asset management.
Ms Soh currently serves as a Member of the Advisory Board for the Singapore Green Finance Centre, of which Schroders is one of the founding members.
Ms Soh was conferred the Institute of Banking & Finance (IBF) Distinguished Fellow (Fund Management) award in 2015. She currently sits on the Executive Committee of Investment Management Association of Singapore (IMAS) , serving as a Vice Chair from November 2016 before her appointment as the Chair from April 2019.
Ms Soh has also been a passionate advocate of raising industry standards and driving professional excellence. She has served as Council Member of IBF since April 2019, was previously a member of the IBF Standards Committee and chaired the IBF Fund Management Working Group from August 2013 to December 2019. In 2021, Ms Soh has been appointed to the Board of Trustee of the Wealth Management Institute as well as Singapore Institute of Technology.
Ms Soh holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from the National University of Singapore.
Mr Max Loh
Former Managing Partner, ASEAN & Singapore, EY; Chairman, Competition & Consumer Commission of Singapore
Mr Max Loh was the former EY Managing Partner for Asean, Singapore and Brunei for many years till his retirement in July 2022. He led and managed the EY Asean business and operations, providing strategic leadership on market and people development. With years of assurance and business advisory experience, his clients spanned a broad range of industries including technology, food and beverage, construction, manufacturing, trading, hospitality, financial institutions and government concerns.
Mr Loh is an ex-board member of the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority, Health Sciences Authority and Singapore Polytechnic; current Chairman of the Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore, ISCA Cares Ltd and the Fair Tenancy Industry Committee; board member and Audit Committee Chair of SPH Media Holdings, Enterprise Singapore and the Building and Construction Authority; and President of the Singapore Council of CPA Australia.
